Richmond Library
The Richmond Public Library is in need of more funds. The library board is in the process of asking the city to amend the budget to give the library more money in 2006. What does the public think? Should the city give us more money? Do we need more money? Tell me what you think. I will tell you what I think:
Libraries are not just books anymore. There are videos, DVD's, audio books, and internet. There are also services available with a small fee. We can make copies, scan, fax, and print for a fee.
There is also not place in Richmond for the kids of any age to really go. The library does provide a place they can come and be out of the weather, use the internet, watch a movie, craft days, all free of charge. But PLEASE remeber the library is NOT a babysitter!! If your child is under the age of 7 he/she must be accompanied by and adult or older sibling, guardian, or baby sitter of some sort.
